Sig Sauer M 239

Love this gun! I especially like the mechanism to release the hammer. I always carry it loaded with 1st shot dbl action and the rest single action. It's even better now that I added Crimson Trace. Accuracy leaves something to be desired.

Excellent compact pistol! Light alloy frame and stainless slide & barrel yield great recoil control. Long, rounded trigger guard provides smooth draw from waistband or holster. I've used 9mm full copper jacket Winchester match ammo and Remington subsonic full jacket hollow point with exceptional results. Easy & rapid take down for cleaning keep the pistol clean, ready, and reliable. The weapon has NEVER jammed nor misfired, even after 150 rounds in one shooting session!
As an average adult male with medium sized hands (I take medium sized gloves), I recommend Sig P239 over the boxier, clunkier feel of compact Glocks. It just feels "sweet" in your hand, thanks to the ergonomic molded standard grips.
The only criticism of the P239 I ever heard from peers are of the Politically Correct (PC) variety, i.e., the safety and slide release are not ambidextrous and the mag release must be converted for lefties thumbs by a gunsmith. For the vast majority of right handed shooters, this will never be a problem. If I had to bet my life on a pistol in self defense situations, it would be the Sig P239.

I have had this gun for 10 years, and I love it..It was my choice over a glock and I never regretted it. I use it for
police service weapon and also undercover...or just to go have an afternoon out target shooting..Being female, I had trouble finding a gun that was a comfortable grip, with a lot of grips being too big for my small hands.. I also enjoy the break down of this gun for easy cleaning. I guess I cannot say enough about it.
