By Sharp Shooter On 10/22/2009  Great gun, I shot 95 rounds down range and no jams. Accurate and comfortable, shooting groups were tight, in the black. Nice and clean look. Highly recommend it. Just bought an extended mag ]15 rounds[, and a black hawk holster and it fits flawlessly.

I have a Beretta Px4 Storm in .45, and I have to admit that my consistency on paper with the Rock Island was 100% better...whether the extra inch was the difference, I don't know, but the two magazines I fired gave me a smile that this .45 is a great deal! For $200 less than the Beretta, I cannot say enough about the Rock Island.

By Richrap On 01/25/2009  Probably the best buy for the price of all NIB 1911 .45 ACP pistols. Can be found for about $360 on up beyond $420 throughout the Gun Sale world. Great range pistol. No fancy bells and whistles but deadly accurate and consistantly so out of the box. Three of my work colleagues, in addition to myself, own this gun. In addition, we own Colt, Kimber, S&W and Para. Those we keep cased up because they're pretty. The Armscor RIA we shoot. I'd give it a 5* but it's too tuff to be judged for it's beauty. I'm now looking for a compact model (3-1/2" or 4" barrel) for my conceal carry.
