Taurus 94 22LR
by: Gunner Guy
Bought my Taurus model 94, blued, with 4 inch barrel, used for $230. It had a lot of little knicks and blue wear on the outside, but action and barrel were pristine, and almost no dragging roll-mark wear on the cylinder. I suspect it was carried in a fishing tackle box or something and not fired much. Anyway, at the range, it grouped fairly tight but clearly a little left and low at 25 feet. I noticed the adjustable sights had been moved off center by the previous owner, and rather than take time to adjust them, just adjusted my sighting to shoot a bit to the right, and instead of a 6 O'clock hold, went to a right-on bulleye hold. The gun then grouped all its shots right in the black bullseye, about a two-inch spread [I'm sure it and I would do better with experience---this was only the first time out with it]. I didn't have the bad double-action pull others complain of--this was fairly light and smooth. But I did notice as have other reviewers that Taurus guns seem to point and fire to direct center of aim, so a 6 O'clock hold will always group low. And it seemed to shoot equally well with lead waxed bullets or copper-clad, no difference.
All in all, a good gun for the money.

Taurus Model 94B2 22LR
by: Maddog
Purchased the Taurus Model 94B2 NIB for $289 from a local gun shop. For a 2" barrel, it is surprising very accurate at the shooting range for shots from 7 to 15 yards. Have not went out to 25 yards...yet. I am at best an average shooter with average skills and this gun exceeded my expectations. Put 300 rds through it in less than one hour with Federal bulk (Wal Mart) ammo without a single FTF or malfunction. Was placing grouping within a 2" range at 15 yards. A steady hand and more skilled shooter could do better. Excellent good for my intended uses which is mostly range shooting.

taurus m94 22lr
by: Picky Plinker
I have recently purchased a Taurus M94 22lr revolver with a 4 inch barrel. The exterior finish is a beautiful, deep blue which is very nicely done. The sights are "cute" but functional and, thankfully, fully adjustable. The grips are a little skinny and take some getting used to. The action, on the other hand is extremely inconsistent and heavy. Nine pulls of the trigger reveal 9 completly different "feels".
Magnified examination of the ratchet that rotates the cylinder was disturbing at best. I have NEVER seen a more horrifically machined mess in my life. This, I'm sure had alot to do with the rough, inconsistent double action trigger pull. Single action trigger pull is, again, functional and I have managed to make friends with this inexpensive little revolver. Accuracy is better than expected and the fact that it happily digests, longs, shorts and CBs putting them exactly where I want them makes me wish that I hadn't waited so long to buy my first 22lr revolver. I got what I paid for.
